Trsnica Vrhpolje

Trsnica Vrhpolje the biggest vine nursery in Slovenia, based in Vrhpolje near Vipava. Our rich history dates back to 1905, when the first grafting society was founded. In 1946, the Agricultural Cooperative Vrhpolje was established, which over time evolved into a modern company specializing in the production and sale of grafted vines. Today, trsnica Vrhpolje offers a wide selection of high-quality grafted vines of various varieties, suitable for wine and grape production throughout Slovenia and abroad. Our production is carried out under strict supervision, with an emphasis on sustainable methods and ensuring healthy plant material.



Selection of Rootstock

We select rootstock by soil, climate, variety, and grower preference. Available options: SO4, 1103 Paulsen, Richter 110, and Kober 5BB.

Base vineyard

In our own mother vineyards, we cultivate scions of over 30 domestic and international varieties and clones, under expert supervision to ensure top-level health.

High-quality grafting

We pay special attention to the health of mother vineyards, mother blocks, and grafted vines, collaborating closely with the Administration for Food Safety and the Agricultural Institute of Slovenia.

Grafted vine plants

Every vintner wants a vineyard that thrives and produces abundantly for many years. Healthy grafted vine plants are essential for longevity and vineyard health.

Grafted vine plants are packaged in bundles of 25 pieces, or in 300‑piece cardboard boxes, stored in a cold room at 2–3 °C.
